A Kanawha County grand jury has indicted a man accused of imposing a sexual act on a woman who was under his supervision as a correctional officer in November.

Jesse A. McQuay, 28, of Charleston was one of 62 people indicted by the grand jury, which handed up its indictments this week, according to a news release from Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney Chuck Miller. McQuay is charged with one count of imposition of sexual acts on persons incarcerated or under supervision. McQuay told the woman he wouldn't document the violation if she showed him her vagina, according to the complaint. He performed oral sex on her in a state-owned van behind the restaurant, and she touched his penis, according to the complaint.

After the encounter, McQuay left in the van, and the woman went back to work, according to the complaint. An indictment doesn't mean a person is guilty of a crime. It indicates only that a grand jury found there was enough enough probable cause to warrant a jury trial.
